Does AA care if I book an "adult" award ticket for a 2 year old?

I may be over-thinking this one but... I offered to ferry my granddaughter to HNL to stay with her other grandparents until my son and DIL go over a week later and then bring her home to SFO. I'll buy a cheap RT for me and my EQMs, but figured I'd use miles for a one way First ticket for her since it's a lot cheaper than one way SFO-HNL and stickers. Since we're not in the same ticketed cabin at this point and will have different PNRs, I'm thinking I better not mark her correct age for the award ticket and just book her as an adult... then we show up to board as two adults. Any one ever had any problems at the gate with a child ticketed as an adult?
