I'm also just back from the four seasons Bosphorus and I have to say I'm not as happy as the last time we were there.
We encountered the following :
  • The breakfast buffet was laid outside this time with birds and bees landing on the breads and cereals frequently-ABSOLUTELY disgusting.
  • Two large events were held there at the weekend.A wedding at one of the ballrooms on the south wing that was so loud ,you could hear it on the fourth floor..
  • A massive 500 or more person event in the garden beside the same area which was even louder
  • Waiting for 20 minutes, yes 20 minutes for service at the lobby bar whilst the server was "too busy" on her laptop to notice we were there.
  • A surly and rather unhelpfull concierge

FS Bosphorus: I’d steer clear of any of the rooms in the annexes, which lack the high ceilings of the palace building. See below for a glimpse of the unattractive annex buildings—which you don’t see on the website. I stayed in Palace Garden room--because I knew I wanted to be in the historic main building with its high-ceilinged rooms. My mistake was not to have splurged for a Bosphorus view in the palace building. I’d assumed that I wouldn’t spend enough time in my room to pay the premium for that view, but each time I walked by one of those rooms with the door propped open by housekeeping, the view out to the Bosphorus really did take my breath away.
We were actually on the fourth floor of the south wing and the rooms there are beautifull to be honest, very well appointed.
The windows have a three quarters Bosphorus view such that in most of the room, all that you will see is the Bosphorus and the ships.
Theres a very comfy seat in the window aswell.

The items listed above did mar our experience though.
