I have been away from Mrs. Krazyglue for about 2.5 months. I was somewhere and then she would have to go somewhere. we had no overlap. The dog is the only one to see both of us. We both miss each other a lot.

She is flying back from LHR to ORD one day this week. She has a 3 hour layover in ORD.

I had an idea to meet her in ORD and fly back to SEA with her. I found a cheap flight and booked it. I get to ORD about an hour before she does, if everything is on time.

Now for the part that i am not sure of.

The return flight is pretty full. I have a seat 2 rows behind her currently. I called the Plat desk and linked our reservations and put us on the upgrade list. According to the seat map there are 6 seats left after what looks like the t-100 explats got upgraded.

I asked for our upgrades to be split thinking that if i got upgraded and she did not i could easily bribe the person next to her to trade seats. Is this the right strategy? Who is the best to talk to in order to sit together if there is no upgrades?

Where is a good place for me to wait to see her when she comes out of customs? I have never cleared customs at ORD and i am unsure of the layout.

We are also trying to get to an event in our town after we arrive in SEA. We have known for a while that we would be going from airport to event. Would it be a good idea for me to check her bag since she would have it after coming out of customs and get the "priority" tag on it so we would get it faster when we get home? This part is minor.

I am Plat and an Admirals Club member, Mrs. Krazyglue is AS MVP.

She has no idea I am doing this, it will be a huge surprise. If the upgrade clears for her before she leaves that will let the cat out of the bag, but i am ok with that one.
