I'm CO *G. I also have Amex Platinum, which has gotten me into CO clubs for years.

As I write this, I'm in a UA club on a day pass (6 months old). I was chatting with the receptionist saying that I needed to get a few more, but that when the merger went through I'd either get in on Amex or join the club. She told met that she was on a conference call last week where she was told that the Amex/CO arrangement would go away when the merger completes. Something to do with a contractual arrangement between Amex and another carrier.

So, it is time to buy a club membership. I'm hoping someone here can advise me on the best way to do that.

FYI, I have a Chase CO One Pass Plus card and I have a United Mileage Plus card (just upgraded it, but I don't have it with me -- its the one that will let me move some UA purchased fares "miles" over as EQM.)

One more thing: I have a flight IAD-DEN next Saturday. Is this process instant or do I need to get another day-pass (I know that I can use theday pass fee to offset the club purchase for a month or so).
