I disagree with this- I flew IST-ORD 2 days ago on TK in J, and champagne was flying in the air. The genleman sitting next to me on 1E consistantly asked for more, and they were serving without him asking. ^

Perhaps the routes you fly such as DXB, AUH are loaded with fewer bottle of alcohol since people who live there are religious and dont drink any alcohol ??

Egypt Air is also part of the Star Alliance and they don't serve alcohol at all. It's a dry cabin

However I remember that on the 11th from CDG-IST in J they ran out of one kind of white wine that I was having so i had to switch between wines.
