Yield Management will not clear - you have too many miles!
Had an unusual conversation with an ExPlat agent yesterday. I was booking an award from ORD to LHR in F. The only availability was in the anytime category for twice the mileage. I asked her to send it over to yield management to ask for the standard award. Her response was that you have over 750k in your account - they will most likely not clear it. It took two days but they did clear the award at the standard level. What surprised me was the agents comment and her absolute certainty it was policy.
