Some airlines have more legroom in regular economy than others (eg NZ).
Some airlines allow extra legroom seats to be selected in advance or purchased for an extra fee.

However note exit row seats are not guaranteed since there is supposed to be a check that you are a suitable pax (ie able to assist in an emergency & not likely to block the exit).
