I have used AE many times in Europe. Car usually was through Avis or Hertz. Usually one way rental between countries. Price always right. Car agencies can screw-up (e.g. manual instead of automatic). Toll-free number to call back to USA to AE. They are easy to deal with, and ultimately make things right.
