I am a 6'5", 220 lb, financially comfortable, retired man who travels occasionally to Europe and Asia for pleasure.

As you would guess, I have rather long legs and I won't fly more than 5-6 hours if I can't book a seat with adequate leg room. I want to book a seat with the leg room when I pay for the flight.

A few airlines will let me book the bulkhead seats or exit rows 24 hours before the flight, or the day of the flight, but I don't want to take the chance that I won't get one of those seats.

Business class, first class, and British Airways Premium Economy all seem to be overpriced. I like United Economy Plus and I am glad to pay the extra for the couple of extra inches of leg room that it gives me.

Are there any other airlines I can use from the US to Europe or Asia that will let me book seats with extra leg room for a reasonable cost? I would be willing to pay a couple of hundred dollars but not a couple of thousand.
