Experiences with US Cent Travel Service?
I've never bothered to use Centurion Travel Service because I've usually known exactly what itinerary I wanted, best price, and how to confirm upgrades, etc. directly with the airline. Years ago, I did try to use the UK-based travel desk when I was both a Platinum and Centurion IDC cardholder, and was underwhelmed.
The route I generally take a few times a year, however, has just been canceled for the winter months (CPH-MCO via ATL on DL). I know in general most of the other single-connection options (on SK, CO, LH, AC, DL via JFK, VS, BA, etc.), plus tons of 2-connection options. But all have some irritating features - either they fly a 757 TATL which I'm not fond of, or they connect in an airport where I'd rather not deal with immigration (JFK), or they require an airport change in the connecting city, or they are on an airline/alliance where business class is out of reach either financially or due to rules regarding use of miles/points.
So, I just wondered - does anyone think I could turn over the assignment to Centurion travel service, and tell them what I'm looking for in terms of wanting to fly business class, with a max. fare budget, telling them which airlines on which I have elite status and miles, or could use MR points, or if they have a good offer using the companion offer - and let them come up with the best-priced options on a decent route?
Any tips on how I should communicate this request to them? Am I better off telling them all the options of which I'm aware, and suggesting a direction for them to look in, or leave it completely open and up to them to come with an offer?
