Hi, all,
I'm moving to Kunming in January, and I expect to be back in the states every 8 weeks or so. I have to be back to either NYC or SFO, so I'm looking at my route/airline options.
Constraints:
- traveling in economy - this is all out-of-pocket (though tax-deductible, I still can't swing F )
- trying to keep it to one stopover, but don't know how realistic that is
- I have a small number of miles (35k) or so with both AA and UA.
Questions:
- What is the best economy long-haul product, among my choices?
- What combo will get me upgrades/reward flights, with my projected travel schedule?
- Are there other options I haven't thought of?
N.B. Some of the options below are there just to show that the pricing isn't competitive.
