number_6. You're now the second person to say "there's no need for a website" and then go on to clarify what is and isn't compulsory and the fact that different airlines have their own rules.
I must admit, I never knew that it was compulsory for IATA airlines to interline when the booking was on the one ticket ... judging by the number of queries we see on various forums, I'm not alone in that ignorance - let alone what individual airlines have set up/dropped/changed between themselves.
To my mind, this is all the more reason why a website *would* be useful - even if it was as some sort of subscription service such as EF.
