Yup, that's exactly what they want to do. Not. I assure you that you're not significant enough for them to retaliate against, even if they were so inclined, which they are not. As said earlier, the employees here are wonderful people who do go out of their way to make guests' stays wonderful. The training goal here is to have each staff member treat each guest as if the guest were a guest in the staff member's own home.
As far as the specific issue of upgrades goes, it is fairly common knowledge that this hotel is extremely popular wtih PLTs. The GM has said that there are often 2-3 times as many PLT guests here on any given night as there are suites.
Actually, I'm about to check out (in a couple of hours) from a two week stay here. Why not put aside your anger, enjoy your stay and save your money. Remember, too, that the fact that your pre-assigned upgrade may be gone doesn't at all mean that you won't be upgraded on checkin.
