US just doesn't get it - and I don't think they ever will. Look at what they did after 9/11 with their "no full Y? no elite for you!!" BS. For them, it's all about the stick and never the carrot, and what do they deliver in the end? The worst domestic and international product in the US legacy market.
Unless you're a US hub-captive or need nonstop travel to their hubs/focus cities, I don't understand why anyone would stick with them.
