Sorry, but any Platinum who doesn't realize that advance upgrades aren't worth the paper they're printed on needs to learn more about the program. Unless it's part of the email pilot program, upgrades are based on availability
at check-in - whatever you see in your reservation before then is wishful thinking at best.
