FYI- US just announced flights from IAD-LGA starting Nov 1 and the schedule is much better then the crappy UA flight schedule. A 6AM flight to LGA (and about time, have been dreaming about this for years) and an 8:15PM return flight. Four flights daily. Obviously not as frequent as the Shuttle, and on crappy US Express planes but if you live near Dulles, or need to be near Dulles you don't have to schlep into DCA for the flights.
