Ask for compensation? (left hotel)

So I stay at a brand new Marriott last night.
Got into the room and put my stuff down on the coffee table and sat at the desk and just relaxed and played around on my computer.

Fast forward 5 hours later (12:30am), I decided to go to sleep, I go to the bed and paused to do a quick look over.
I see 2 tiny bugs walking around on the bed.
I look over at the other bed, same thing.
Called downstairs and told them I am not staying in this room, and I want a room on another floor.

Even though the hotel was only about 1/4 full, they took awhile to find a new room (I was waiting in the lobby for this)
He got me a room on the 2nd floor, and went with me to the room.
I got in, turned on the light and looked at the bed, saw 1 bug on the bed also. The clerk saw it also.

So I told him 2 rooms out of 2...Im leaving.
So I left to find a new hotel at 1am in the morning.

Called them this morning to make sure I was not being charged, I spoke to the manager and she said - "Your room was made complimentary due to the presence of naturally occurring insects that come in from outside"
I said - "It was complimentary because I did not stay there"

Should I have asked for some type of compensation due to the hassle of switching hotels at 1am, etc...?
I ended up staying at a hilton! Which sucks because Im trying to get the 5k miles from Delta for staying at Marriott.
