Those 2 inches make a big difference. Plus AA's seat seems wider, although it may just be the extra leg room, and the wider seat divider gives more separation.
I didn't count them because they don't have a domestic first hard product; I know the fly domestic routes quite often.
I agree that those two inches make a huge and very noticable difference; especially for tall people.
