So it sounds like our 16:40 arrival from Siem Reap would put us in the thick of things. Maybe we'll move up to the flight that arrives at 14:20 instead. We'd lose a couple of hours in Cambodia, but it might be worth it to avoid the Bangkok traffic. Though if the train works, that sounds like a good option as well (just carry-on).
I arrived in July on a Friday at 17:30 and arrived to the LM BKK (in Suriwong Rd) after 75 minutes (Usualy 25).
The following week I arrived at the same time and was in Sukhumvit in about 35 minutes. So it really is hit or miss, but the earlier you arrive the better.
