If they cannot handle the stress of their position, they are perfectly at liberty to find another line of work.
To make up for the stress, sometimes they behave obnoxiously at pax, just because they can.
I have to say that at our base I usually find that the staff are perfectly pleasant and really quite efficient. When I travel elsewhere I realise how usually pleasant the BAA and others are.
Just my observations.
