Perhaps it is more reasonable to aim for 1P this year. The money you have on the side is enough to make 1K, but do you have enough time? Even if you do 3 longhaul vacation trips you'll still be short of 1K.

My suggestion:
1) Write down how 1K is better than 1P for you.
2) Write down a few trips that you could take, regardless of price. Think of time constraints. Add up the miles.
3) Decide whether it's worth spending some weekends doing MRs for 1K status.
