I'm no gymnast, but I found it reasonably easy to step over my sleeping neighbor without disturbing him a few times during recent flights. The seat shell in front is very sturdy and makes a good place to grab on to when exiting without waking the passenger in front of you either.

An advantage is that the seat in full-flat mode is a bit lower to the floor than it is in the upright position, so it is not difficult to step over. I find the flat beds easier to climb out of than any of the older BF seats.

A/L seats are desirable for me because they are very private, angle toward the windows, and offer a bit more foot space. Still, if you can get yourself any bulkhead seat (1DEKL, 2AB, 8ABDEKL on the 777, 1ABEF on the 752), jump on it because the foot space is probably triple that of any other row in the cabin, which is really excellent. Bulkheads are highly, highly recommended, except for maybe the 'stink shield' 1D on the 777.
