I couldn't agree more. I learned to drive a stick, and had one for years. IMO, they are more responsive and fun to drive than an automatic. (Unless you have traffic like ATL).
I had a contract up there for 5 or 6 years and didn't even mind shifting gears in Atlanta traffic most of the time... It's San Francisco which gets me... I'd NEVER want to try to stop on those hills... That's one city where I thank God that the rental cars are automatic...
