Sorry you had to watch that.

Can I add, and I am a researcher involved with the group that writes the international resuscitation evidence statements, that you shouldn't feel that the 10-15 minutes of CPR you did was pointless. Any attempt at resuscitation is better than no attempt, and there are many cases where people have survived 15 minutes of bystander CPR. Please don't be discouraged from trying again next time.

Also, many airports (I know ORD especially) have large amounts of automatic defibrillators. If a bystander can get to one of those, before the EMTs arrive, you have greatly increased the chance of survival.
