If the company started refusing to do business class on international flights, I'd start refusing to do international flights.
One of my former employers gave back 50% of savings to the employee where you personally chose something less than what policy allowed. Ride to DEL in Y, they give you 50% of the difference. Stay in a fleabag hotel, get some folding money. Etc.
It was a nice policy.
I wrote an application that reduced labor cost on a certain task by ~$3M/year. They decided the policy only applied to travel.
