The company I work for handles Business Class this way:

Business class is allowed on trips outside Europe (based in GOT). Should a traveller however opt to take an economy class seat they will personally recieve 20% of the difference between the economy and business fare on their next paycheck. Since this can mean $100s at some routes it has effectively eliminated a vast majority of all business seat travel for the company while still keeping all globe trotting employees happy.

Any one else heard of or working with a company that has a similar solution?
