The Algonquin was mentioned earlier in this thread

Quite frankly, the rooms looked pretty plain and any hotel in the US that offers twin beds doesn't get my consideration - especially for a category 8.

Although the public areas look nice, unless you really want to revel in the ghost of Dorothy Parker or have business in the immediate area, there are better Marriott-branded choices in the city.
