If you read the article, it says that he was discovered because another TSA employee turned him in and an investigation was launched. He was fired before the case made it through the legal system.

I am certainly not saying that TSA is perfect, because I believe that we definitely need to improve. However every successful theft against a TSA employee to which I have personal knowledge had another TSA employee assisting the investigation. By far most of the people who work in TSA hate the idea that thieves work alongside of us, and they are willing to help stop those thieves whenever possible.

While I appreciate that is your experience, how long did it take before the other TSA might be aware or one was willing to talk up versus how many complaints were ignored or never voiced because are just so darn frustrated with all the BS we're put through. You know we the innocent public are being treated by criminals, oh yeah BY criminals!!

Not so fun!!
