Because it's more important to put someone who smokes a little weed in prison for ten years than it is to keep real criminals (like this one) off the streets.

Yes, he will do minimal time. But the true punishment in all of this will be seeing him try to get a job with a felony conviction of theft.

He won't be living the good life in jail either. I'm more than tempted to find out where he's going and send every other prisoner in his cell block a few cartons of smokes to make sure this clown get "special treatment".
