I've had no problems transporting small PC's through security at numerous airports. I would not expect to be able to stow a rollaboard suitcase AND a PC in the overhead bin, however.
This will just be for a quick day trip. Sounds like there shouldn't be any problems putting the desktop overhead, and my very small laptop bag under my seat?
