Will this cause any issues - flying out of SFO to the UK on a Saturday evening, then on a flight back from the UK into IAH on the following Monday afternoon.

I'm a UK passport holder travelling under VWP.

Reason I'm doing this is that the SFO trip is leisure, non-refundable tickets, and the IAH trip is business - company won't pick up the cost of the business portion of my return ticket if I stayed.

Main issue I see is if the departure record isn't updated by the time I arrive into IAH on Monday afternoon - is that all automated these days with ESTA and lack of I-94W forms being completed? I can easily explain what I've done to CBP (and keep copies of itineraries and boarding passes etc.), but I guess I'm just wondering whether I should be prepared for additional questioning because of the (lack of) time between trips?

Or is this just run of the mill and CBP have seen it all before?
