Personally, I wouldn't have paid for seat selection but as long as you're happy then that's the main thing. One less thing to worry about before your holiday I suppose.
It's a poor show when BA policy makes people get so anxious about seat selection when travelling on one of their premium products that they have to shell out more cash in order to get some peace of mind.
