Bottom line: Our environment affects our perception, both positively and negatively. Temporarily getting out of that environment, whether it be New York or Wyoming, is important for everyone.
My favourite quote is :
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.” Mark Twain.
You will be surprised at the people who do travel (sometimes to far away distances), but don't get out of their enviroment, and still retain all of their prejudices, bigotry and narrow mindedness.
I applaud people who do (travel, and escape their enviroment for a while, and try something new)
