Probably depends on when you're flying too. As a PM that flies at heavily leisure times, I'm clearing at the window 95% of the time. The last time I didn't clear an upgrade at the window was a flight where I didn't get upgraded as a PM and sat in Y earlier this year (Wednesday afternoon MSP-ATL on a -90).
