From what I've read and seen them advise on approach to IAH, who you are and where you come from doesn't matter. If you are going international to international at IAH, your bags are transferred without you having to pick them up.

It would be a big sort issue if only some of the people could do this. The CO website provides general instructions to people Int'l-Int'l saying to just go direct to the transfer area after Customs without picking up your bag. I remember reading that this program was being rolled out and that it was operative in at least one or two other significant airports.
