Thanks for the report! I've been keeping an eye on this place for a while and will definitely check it out some day for the pool alone, but your tales of abysmal service seem very common -- the TripAdvisor reviews of the place are astoundingly bad:

Quite remarkable given the prices and that Singapore's high-end hotels are usually quite good.
