Really? On the routes I fly the elites, e.g. GS/1k's seem to always be in, packed and seated and ready to go in an instant.
What routes do you fly that you see this? I mostly fly SFO/ORD/IAD/SEA. Maybe it's a regional behavior??? or just the time of day or luck of the mix.
