If someone like that is behind you in the security line, don't say anything to them, just collect your own gear and move away as quickly as possible. For that matter, if they're ahead of you in line, do the same. Otherwise you'll find yourself on the phone to the office/home, explaining that you missed your flight because you got tangled up with some tosser in the security line who wanted to engage in a philosophical argument with the cops.
