KVS tool found an AC codeshared flight that SE agent could not find? why not?
I was booking my ticket to Milan, and the AC agent booked me to go via FRA.
He could only find a AC codeshared flight on LH from FRA to MXP to leave about 6 hrs after my flight from YOW had arrived.
The KVS tool could find an additional AC codeshared flight which left FRA about 3 hrs after arrival of the flight from YOW. I told the agent that I wanted to book that flight; he told me his computer was not pulling up the flight. Eventually, with the supervisor's help, he was able to retrieve the flight, through a different data base.
The question is why does the AC phone agent's computer not pull up all AC (even codeshared) flights? The agent did say that the customer MAY be able to find eligible AC flights that his computer would not automatically find.
The point; if you do not have a tool such as KVS or expertflyer; you may lose out on flight options, when booking through the AC telephone agent.
