Mission/16th Street station gives a different view of SF but it has a reputation as a center of crime. Avoid it at night (same for Mission/24th).

Ferry Building near the Embarcadero is worth the trip.

Thanks, I am going to be there from 5-10 p.m. windows, so I will try Embarcadero and try to find some a restaurant with some good clams while I'm out.

I'll avoid Mission thanks for your tips
