That post is way too long and complicated to really get what you're asking. Some questions for you:

Is this a water bottle we're talking about or a thermos?
Was it in a bin as you mentioned or did someone take it out of one of your pieces of luggage that you seem to mention as well?

I can't really tell what you're even asking. Also, your post was plenty long. Keeping things short and concise will get you better answers. The information about people chatting is completely irrelevant to what you're asking. Also, TSA people telling you that you have 3 minutes it not a bad thing. Would you rather that they not tell you so you don't run to your gate and miss your flight?
