One of the more useful reasons that a friendly TA is important.
Especially when your friendly bank manager isn't. A couple of RTW tickets have been paid by three accounts or one account over a few day period to get around daily transaction limits.

This is complicated a bit down under by the extensive use of debit cards and/or EFTPOS (essentially bank transfer) cards. And then there is QF's use of the BPAY system - a non credit card method of transferring money for a particular invoice. Sellers (TAs and airlines) like the latter two methods since there is no cash involved and the bank fees are very very small compared to CC.

All in all I think it is time for the reservation systems to consider an upgrade in recording payments.
