Milan to Lugano and/or Zurich - best way to sightsee
Around Oct 15, my wife and I finish our 1 week stay in Milan. Before coming back to Canada, perhaps from Switzerland, we were interested in going by surface transportation to one or both of Lugano and Zurich.
We would consider flying from Zurich on Oct 17. We have seen Zurich many times before. So we would arrive in Zurich on Oct 16 PM, and then fly the next day.
The question is how to sight see northern Italy and Switzerland from Milan to one or both of Zurich or Lugano. We do not plan to rent a car. Do we go by train, bus (regularly scheduled bus), or sightseeing bus? Are there any other options?
