My wife and I will be taking 4 days to drive from San Francisco to San Diego as part of our California vacation. Once we leave San Francisco, we plan the following stays:
- 1st night = Monterey - Embassy Suites
- 2nd night = Morro Bay - Travel Lodge (cheap - save some points)
- 3rd night = ?
- 4th night = San Diego - Gas-Lamp Hilton

We will be using points for the 3rd night and cannot decide which of the following to choose:
- Oxnard - Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach
- Santa-Barbara - Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort
- Santa-Monica - Doubletree

Can anyone recommend one of these? I am a diamond member so any knowledge of upgrades or lounges would be most welcome.
