Sure, you have different quality grades in China - but this is more of an issue with some products and less in others. Dehumidifiers are less of an issue in my opinion.... actually, the best Dehumidifiers I know are marketed in Europe, Ive never seen anything too impressive in North America (but I could be wrong or not know where to look).
