Yes but why would it fly non stop to GRU also? I mean it does not even want to fly direct to Toronto Canada. There is a huge Japanese Market that flies into Brazil so that is why I thought SIN-NRT-GRU makes sense.
Do you have any idea how far NRT-GRU is? SQ would have to do it via somewhere else as NRT-GRU non stop is nearly 2,000 miles longer than SIN-EWR (the current longest flight in the world). If SQ were to use their own metal to get to GRU (which I'd say would be extremely extremely unlikely) then via JNB is shortest, next best options would be via LHR (or somewhere in Europe), BOM, DXB, AKL or SYD.
