+ 1 also and it is a shame, this forum is otherwise very very helpful. Perhaps the perceived obnoxiousness you mention is just the syndrom I increasingly observe with fellow guests at luxury hotels .

Myself I behaved in a bad manner and after apologizing try now to make contributions which can help our community.

And yes, I will still defend LHW which I believe is a marketing group representing many very nice properties and it is up to us here in this forum to outline such properties.

Just two more in my home country which really deserve to be mentioned:

Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne with grand location and perfect spa with indoor/outdoor pool on the shores of Lake Geneva. Dining options include a restaurant run by three michelin star chef Anne Sophie Pic and a pleasant buffet option on a historic paddle steamer the "Montreux".

Riffelalp Resort on 2222 metres above sea level high above Zernatt. Access is by rack and pinion railway only and the view of Matterhorn is breathtaking. The rooms in the historic stone house are more classic and in the chlet part more grand. The inclusive half board dinner is amazing in quality and worth at least one Michelin star.
