I've stayed at the Imperial many times and never encountered a tired looking room. A few years ago I was shown to one suite where it smelled from cleaning fluid but I was immediately moved to another suite within a short period of time.

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons in Prague as well as at the Kempinski. Both were great hotels although I would give the FS points for location and restaurant. I found the staff excellent at both.
