We often do this during a longer stay at a resort as it irritates me to pay like €5 for a diet coke when I can have it for 1/10th from the nearby supermarked, even if this is peanuts compared to what I have paid for the hotel room. What about you?
If I'm going somewhere for a couple of days and moving around I won't bother but if I'm on a long stay (say a week or more), I will bring duty free and perhaps drop by the local store for refreshments.
