I had this exact same thing happen to me. Without signing in I searched HKG-SYD for the end of the year. It showed Virgin flights in Upper Class - then signed into to booked them, and they disappear. After several days of the same thing happening, I called a 'real' person and had no problem booking them. Moral of the story - just call.
